Residential Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Derby Area
Salary: £29,620 – £35,320 (DOE) + sleep-ins + bonuses
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We’re working with a newly established children’s care provider to recruit Residential Support Workers for a home in the Derby area.

The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes, working closely with the wider team to provide consistent and high-quality care.

Key responsibilities include:

* Supporting young people in all aspects of their daily lives and development

* Promoting emotional wellbeing, safety and independence

* Contributing to care planning and risk assessments

* Maintaining a safe, clean and structured home environment

* Acting as a positive role model and building trusting relationships

* Ensuring all safeguarding and regulatory requirements are met

* Working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals

* Supporting the home to achieve strong Ofsted outcomes

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for individuals who are motivated, reliable and committed to making a difference.

You will have:

* A caring and empathetic approach with strong resilience

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to work effectively as part of a team

* An interest in working with children and young people

* Experience in care or education settings (desirable)

* Willingness to complete a Level 4 qualification

* Flexibility to work shifts including sleep-ins

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Salary & Benefits

Band 1:

£29,620 – £30,120 basic salary
Performance-related pay and Ofsted bonuses
Sleep-in allowance averaging £4,200 per year
Total package up to £34,320

Band 2:

£30,620 – £31,120 basic salary
Performance-related pay and Ofsted bonuses
Sleep-in allowance averaging £4,200 per year
Total package up to £35,320
