Support Worker
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Support Worker to join our client in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.
Job Role:
We’re looking for compassionate Support Workers to help people live fulfilling lives. You’ll support individuals to achieve personal goals, develop life skills, and enjoy activities tailored to their needs.
Responsibilities of a Support Worker:
* Support individuals with personal care, medication, appointments, and health needs.
* Promote safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour, following safeguarding policies.
* Encourage community participation, social connections, and inclusion.
* Maintain accurate records including care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports.
* Assist new team members and work collaboratively with colleagues.
* Support a clean, safe, and positive living environment.
* Be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of those you support.
Working hours for Support worker: Various Shifts Available.
Requirements of a Support Worker:
* Understanding of safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
* Commitment to person-centred care and promoting independence.
* Willingness to complete training, including the Care Certificate within 6 months.
* Experience in a care/support role.
* Level 2 Adult Care qualification or equivalent
* BSL Level 1 for deaf services
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
