Experienced Support Worker – Learning Disabilities & Autism Harrow, London Shift times: Monday – Friday 8:45 – 4:30 Are you an experienced Support Worker ready to make a meaningful impact? Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions are seeking a skilled and dedicated Support Worker to join a Day Centre in Harrow, supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Complex Needs. This role is ideal for someone who already has hands-on experience in social care and is confident supporting individuals with complex needs, behaviours that challenge, and varying levels of independence. You will be part of a professional and supportive team focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred support within a structured day service environment. About the Role As an experienced Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals who attend the Centre to participate in meaningful activities, develop life skills, and maintain independence. You will also support the wider team by setting a strong example of good practice and high-quality care. Key Responsibilities * Deliver high-quality, person-centred support to adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs * Support individuals who may display behaviours that challenge using positive and proactive approaches * Encourage and promote independence, dignity, and choice * Facilitate and support daily activities, social engagement and skill development within the centre such as therapeutic sessions as well as recreational and educational activities * Assist with personal care and mobility support where required * Maintain accurate records, support notes, and risk assessments * Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe, structured and supportive environment About You We are looking for someone who is: * Experienced in supporting adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism * Confident working with complex needs and behaviours that challenge * Knowledgeable about person-centred approaches and safeguarding * Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team * Comfortable supporting a structured activity-based service Essential Requirements * Previous experience working as a Support Worker in a Day Centre * Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/or Complex Needs * Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding practices * Flexibility to work across service needs Desirable * Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care * Experience within day service settings * Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) or similar approaches Why Join Us?
