About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our client's residential service in Chawleigh, Devon. You will be supporting young adults aged 18–30 (primarily early 20s) who may be experiencing mental health challenges, low-level substance use, homelessness, unemployment or involvement with the criminal justice system.

The residential programme typically supports individuals for 6–9 months, focusing on improving their independence, wellbeing and employability through structured support and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day support, guidance and mentoring to young adults

* Assist in developing life skills, confidence and independence

* Deliver and support a full employability and wellbeing programme

* Supervise and monitor activities of residents

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

* Build strong, professional relationships with residents

* Provide 24/7 support as part of a rota (including sleep-ins)

Requirements

* Must be aged 21 or over

* Full UK driving licence (manual or automatic)

* Minimum 6 months’ experience in a care setting (e.g. residential care, supported accommodation/living)

* Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* A proactive, empathetic and resilient approach
