Experienced Surface / Cylindrical Grinder Salary Working Hours * Flexible start between 6:00am * Standard day shift pattern * Early finish every Friday * Strong emphasis on work–life balance (Exact hours can be discussed to suit individual circumstances.) * Up to £18.50 per hour depending on experience * Overtime available at enhanced rates * Stable, permanent position * Supportive, well-equipped workshop Experienced Surface / Cylindrical Grinder The Role You will be responsible for setting and operating surface and cylindrical grinding machines, producing high-precision components in one-off and small batch quantities. This is varied subcontract work across multiple industries — not repetitive high-volume production. Experienced Surface / Cylindrical Grinder Key Responsibilities: * Full setup and operation of surface and/or cylindrical grinders * Working to tight tolerances from engineering drawings * Selecting and dressing grinding wheels * In-process inspection and final quality checks * Maintaining high accuracy and finish standards * Working independently within a structured quality environment Experience in CNC grinding would be advantageous but is not essential.
