Systems Engineer | Portsmouth | Hybrid | £60,000 + Bonus I am working with a well known electronic safety systems manufacturer who are looking for a Systems Engineer to join the team. In this role, the Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing system requirements, overseeing system architecture, and ensuring smooth documentation through project life cycles. You'll play a key role in connecting technical requirements with real-world products. *Applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights in the UK" Key Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer * Analyse and capture system requirements, ensuring traceability and alignment with product goals. * Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., mechanical, software, and test engineers). * Ensure adherence to V-model or similar engineering processes. * Write and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and test plans. * Participate in system integration and validation activities. Essential Requirements from the Systems Engineer * Proven experience as a Systems Engineer (or similar role) in an electro-mechanical or safety-related domain. * Strong familiarity with the V-model or equivalent systems engineering processes. * Experience with requirements capture, management, and traceability tools. * Proficient in writing technical documentation and specifications. * Familiarity with tools like Jira, Jama, or similar platforms. Desirable Requirements from the Systems Engineer * Experience in safety-critical or compliance-heavy industries. * Knowledge of systems integration testing and validation methodologies.
