Design & Technology (DT) Teacher – Full Time – Immediate Start UET1 A co-educational Alternative Provision in the Hillingdon area of West London is seeking a Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join the team on a full-time basis with an immediate start. This provision supports students who are unable to attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons, most commonly due to permanent exclusion. The successful candidate will be passionate about practical learning and able to engage students who may have previously struggled in traditional educational settings. Role Responsibilities * Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons to small groups of students. * Provide practical, hands-on learning experiences that build confidence and skills. * Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with diverse educational backgrounds. * Promote positive behaviour and create a supportive classroom environment. * Work collaboratively with staff to support students’ personal and educational development. Requirements * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification (preferred). * Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level. * Ability to engage and motivate students in an Alternative Provision setting. * Strong classroom and behaviour management skills. * Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (UDS).
