Position Details:
Location: North Manchester
Type: Long Term, Temporary
Start Date: April 2026
Full Time/Part Time: 5 days per week
Hours: 8:15 am - 4:00 pm
Pay: Paid to scale from day 1About the School:
The school is a large mainstream Secondary School with a supportive leadership team and teaching staff. The school is going from strength to strength and provides rigorous CPD throughout the year, which you will be required to attend. Responsibilities:
Teaching and Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging art lessons that cater to a variety of skill levels. Encourage and develop student creative thinking and artistic skills.
Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum aligned with educational standards.
Student Assessment: Evaluate and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Maintain accurate records of student performance and development. Prepare and administer assignments, projects, and examinations.
Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and respect. Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
Professional Development: Stay updated on current trends and best practices in art education.
Communication: Provide support and guidance to students in their artistic endeavours and career aspirations.Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Previous experience in a UK school
Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as some training will be provided)Eligibility Requirements:
Right to Work in the UK
Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to process a new application)
