A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a strong and passionate English Teacher to join a lovely secondary school in the London Borough of Hackney from January 2027.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-regarded Ofsted-rated school with a supportive environment and a strong, experienced English faculty. The department has excellent schemes of work and resources in place, allowing you to focus on what you do best — teaching and supporting your students.
The successful candidate will be teaching English across KS3 and KS4, with a particular focus on Year 11. English must be your subject specialism, and you must have a sound knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum. We are looking for a confident English teacher — not someone who has simply covered English lessons previously.
There are also likely to be a small number of KS3 History classes on the timetable, so applicants must be happy and confident teaching these lessons.
The role is initially until Easter, but for the right candidate, it is highly likely to continue through to the end of the academic year in July.
