Teacher of MFL (German) – Maternity Cover

Job Details* Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (German) required for a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in the Ashford/Tenterden area of Kent. This is a full-time maternity cover position starting April 2026, expected to run for up to one year. The successful candidate will: * Teach German across KS3 (with potential KS4/KS5 depending on experience) * Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in line with national curriculum * Assess, monitor and report on student progress * Contribute to the wider ethos of the MFL department * Take on form tutor responsibilities The school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed German specialist who can inspire students and contribute positively to a collaborative department. Requirements: * UK QTS (or working towards QTS) * Experience teaching German at secondary level * Strong classroom management skills * Commitment to safeguarding and high standards
