Teaching Assistant

Job description Smile Education are recruiting for an Secondary Teaching assistant to work in a mainstream secondary school in Manchester. The school is rated ‘good’ in their latest Ofsted inspection and has a strong and welcoming atmosphere within the staff team.   The secondary teaching assistant role would be working full time with students in small groups and a one to one basis with the focus being on supporting exam results and providing intervention.   The Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant: Supporting children in KS3 and KS4 Develop and concentrate on building a relationship with the children, staff and family members. Constant and consistent communication with the class teacher, regarding progress and potential methods of work. Create a secure and positive environment for the child to learn and feel comfortable.  To apply for this teaching assistant role, you will need: An up-to-date DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months. A teaching assistant qualification or degree in related subject Experience working with Secondary school children.
