Teaching Assistant Location: Havering, East London Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only Salary: £90 - 105 per day Start Date: Asap Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school in Havering. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils' learning and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Teaching assistants typically support individual pupils or small groups while helping teachers deliver lessons and classroom activities. Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum. Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning in subjects such as literacy and numeracy. Assist pupils who require additional support, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Help prepare classroom materials, learning resources, and displays. Encourage positive behaviour and support classroom management. Monitor pupils' progress and report feedback to the teacher. Assist with supervision during break times, school trips, and other activities. Requirements Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or youth setting (preferred). Good communication and teamwork skills. A caring, patient, and supportive attitude towards children. Strong literacy and numeracy skills. Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
