Teaching Assistant - KS2 Location: New Mills Area Start Date: 13th July Contract: Until 23rd July Hours: Full-time (Monday-Friday) Premier Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the New Mills area seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support within KS2 for the Summer Term. This role will involve providing classroom support as well as delivering targeted intervention work to support pupils' progress through to the end of the academic year on 23rd July. Role Responsibilities: Supporting teaching and learning within a KS2 classroom Delivering small group and 1:1 intervention sessions Assisting with literacy and numeracy support Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required Helping to maintain a positive and well-managed learning environment Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider staff team Candidate Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary setting Experience supporting KS2 pupils Confidence delivering small group interventions A proactive, patient, and supportive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children What's on Offer: Consistent work for the full Summer Term Supportive and welcoming school environment Competitive daily rates based on experience Ongoing support from a dedicated Premier Education consultant Premier Education is a trusted education recruitment agency, proudly supporting schools and educators across the North of England since 2001.
