Teaching Assistant

• Support pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one and small group basis
• Assist the teacher with the delivery of lessons and learning activities
• Help create a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment
• Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND where required
• Promote positive behaviour, engagement and participation in learning
• Encourage pupil independence, confidence and social development
• Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
• Support safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times
Requirements
• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
• SEND experience is preferred
• A patient, supportive and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
