Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and creative individual to work with young people aged 16–25 with PMLD, complex needs and SEMH, based on our working farm and outdoor learning environment. About the Role You will support learners through alternative, hands-on and sensory-led learning, helping them to develop communication, independence, emotional regulation and life skills in a safe, nurturing setting. Learning takes place through: Farm activities and animal care Outdoor education and nature-based learning Sensory exploration and personalised learning experiences Building trusting, consistent relationships Who We’re Looking For You might have experience in: Special educational needs (PMLD, complex needs, SEMH) Education, care, youth work or support roles Outdoor learning, forest school or animal-assisted activities Most importantly, you are: Patient, empathetic and resilient Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons Creative and flexible in your approach to learning Passionate about inclusive, person-centred education What We Offer A unique farm-based working environment The opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day Supportive team and ongoing training A role where no two days are the same Location: Wareham/Sandford Learners: Ages 16–25 Focus: Alternative education, sensory learning & wellbeing If you believe education should be practical, compassionate and rooted in real-life experiences, we’d love to hear from you
