Primary School Teaching Assistant Location: Preston, Lancashire Hours: Full-time | Term-Time Only Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience) Start Date: ASAP / Next Half Term Are you a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary school setting? We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Preston who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. The Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils Assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy interventions Support pupils with additional needs (including SEN where required) Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment Assist with classroom preparation and behaviour management The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who: Has experience working in a primary school setting Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential) Is patient, nurturing and adaptable Has strong communication skills Demonstrates a good understanding of safeguarding procedures Is committed to supporting children's academic and personal development What We Offer: A supportive and friendly school environment Ongoing CPD and training opportunities Dedicated consultant support Opportunity for long-term or permanent placement Competitive pay ratesThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that values teamwork, positivity and pupil wellbeing.
