Team Leader - Learning Disabilities/Autism Services
Key Responsibilities
* Staff Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of support staff, including managing performance, delivering training, and supporting professional development.
* Person-Centred Care: Ensure all support plans are effectively implemented and tailored to each individual, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and an improved quality of life.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitor service delivery to ensure full compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and relevant legislation.
* Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including rota coordination, risk assessments, incident management, and safeguarding responsibilities.
* Reporting & Communication: Work closely with Service Managers, attend review meetings, and maintain effective communication with families, professionals, and external stakeholders.
* On-call Duties: Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide additional support when required.
* Hands-on Support & Administration: Work flexibly as part of the care team on shift, while also completing required administrative duties accurately and on time.
Key Skills & Requirements
* Experience: Proven experience in a Team Leader role within a learning disabilities and/or autism setting.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and person-centred care principles.
* Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, decision-making, and team motivation abilities, with a proactive and supportive leadership style.
* Full drivers license
Qualifications:
* NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or above), or currently working towards this qualification.
