Team Manager – MASH
Southwark Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead within their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the screening of referrals, ensuring timely decision-making, and driving high-quality safeguarding practice across the front door service.
You will manage a multi-agency team, working closely with partners including police, health, and education to ensure children and families receive the right intervention at the earliest opportunity.
In this role, you will:
Lead and manage a team within the MASH service
Oversee the screening and triaging of referrals
Ensure timely and proportionate decision-making in line with statutory guidance
Provide management oversight on complex safeguarding cases
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to share information and assess risk
Monitor team performance, quality of practice, and service delivery
Support staff development through supervision, coaching, and mentoring
Ensure accurate and high-quality case recording and compliance with procedures
What You’ll Need:
Social Work England Registration
Social Work Qualification
Significant post-qualified experience within children’s social care
Previous experience in a Team Manager or leadership role
Strong experience within MASH / Front Door services
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and risk management skills
Ability to drive performance and maintain high practice standards
