The Role
This is a key position within Group Finance, where you will act as the technical accounting lead, ensuring high quality, compliant financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity international business.
You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Group Financial Controller, supporting M&A activity, complex transactions, and Group reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert guidance on IFRS accounting standards across the Group (including IFRS 3, 9, 15, 16 and IAS 36/38)
* Prepare technical accounting papers and policy documentation to support key decisions and audit requirements
* Lead the accounting for acquisitions, including purchase price allocation and integration
* Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts
* Monitor changes in IFRS and ensure timely implementation across the business
* Partner with finance teams globally to enhance technical capability and consistency
* Act as a key contact for external auditors on technical matters
About You
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
* Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
* Experience within a large or complex group environment, ideally with exposure to practice (Big 4 / Top 10 preferred)
* Experience in M&A accounting and group reporting
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear guidance
* Proactive, detail focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
