Technical Coordinator
Job Opportunity – Technical Coordinator – Birmingham Our client, a well-established and highly respected residential developer, is looking to recruit two Technical Coordinators to join their team at their Birmingham office. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, mixed-tenure housing developments across the UK, they are known for creating sustainable communities and investing in their people. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are now looking to expand their technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with either a civil engineering or architectural/design background who are looking to play a key role in the delivery of residential developments from concept through to completion. As the new Technical Coordinator, you will: Coordinate and manage engineering drawings, reports and technical documentation Review civil engineering designs, including roads, sewers and utilities Liaise with external consultants, utilities providers and local authorities Support planning applications and the discharge of planning conditions Arrange site investigations, surveys and enabling works Ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards Attend pre-start and site meetings, providing technical input Manage service provision (gas, electric, water, telecoms) on site Identify and mitigate site constraints to support build programmes Communicate technical issues clearly across the wider business Requirements for this role: For the Civil Engineering role: HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering Experience with roads, sewers and utilities Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage For the Architectural / Design role: Relevant qualification in Architecture or Architectural Technology Experience in residential design or technical coordination Strong understanding of planning, drawings and building regulations For both roles: Experience within residential housebuilding (preferred) Good IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to analyse problems and deliver effective solutions Excellent communication skills Benefits include: £42,000 salary + 10% bonus (OTE £46,200) Company car / car allowance / travel allowance Salary sacrifice car scheme Up to 33 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service) Private medical insurance Enhanced family leave Pension scheme & life assurance Share schemes & employee rewards platform 2 volunteering days per year 1 day per week working from home Full-time, permanent position This role would suit a motivated and detail-driven individual looking to join a forward-thinking housebuilder offering long-term career progression and involvement in exciting residential developments.
