Technical Sales Engineer
Based in Ipswich, the successful candidate will be developing their distributorship, responding to customers enquiries, providing technical quotations and customer training.
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Developing the industrial equipment product range and identifying new sales opportunities
* Prospecting, quoting, and securing new equipment sales and service packages
* Maintaining and growing customer service agreements, including bespoke customer specific packages
* Responding to customer technical enquiries and providing expert advice
* Producing cost estimates and technical quotations
* Identifying opportunities across additional product ranges
* Working closely with operations, design, and engineering teams to support product development
* Attending weekly operations meetings and supporting internal collaboration
* Assisting with the preparation of production and maintenance manuals
* Providing support across the sales and service teams when required
Requirements:
* A Level 3 NVQ, National Diploma, A-Level equivalent, or completed engineering apprenticeship
* At least 3 years’ experience in a technical sales or service-based engineering role
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly
* Experience using Microsoft Office applications
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and procedures
