Technologist - Fresh Produce UK - Home based Permanent | M-F £40,000 d.o.e Are you passionate about product quality, supplier partnerships and delivering excellence across the fresh produce supply chain? We're looking for a driven Technologist to play a key role in safeguarding product integrity from source to customer, working closely with global suppliers and retail partners What you'll be doing at the Technologist: Champion quality assurance across all traded fresh produce, ensuring products consistently meet agreed specifications, customer expectations and shelf-life performance standards. Monitor product condition throughout the supply chain, reviewing inspection reports, shipment documentation and distribution performance to maintain exceptional product quality. Build strong partnerships with international growers, exporters and agents, driving compliance with industry standards including GLOBALG.A.P. and BRCGS. Review and manage supplier documentation, including certifications, product specifications and technical records to ensure robust due diligence. Act as the key technical contact for customers, managing quality queries, complaints and product rejections with professionalism and pace. Lead root-cause investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions that strengthen supplier performance and reduce repeat issues. Ensure full regulatory compliance, maintaining traceability, food safety documentation and pesticide residue monitoring in line with UK and EU requirements.
