Temporary Construction Site Manager

Fawkes & Reece are currently working with a well-established client who is seeking an experienced Temporary Construction Site Manager to oversee a short-term project based in Newport, South Wales. This is a great opportunity for a proactive and hands-on Site Manager who is available at short notice and comfortable managing a fast-paced site for a short duration. Project Details: • Location: Newport, South Wales • Duration: Approximately 3 weeks • Start Date: Expected to start within the next 1–2 weeks • Rate: £250 – £270 per day (depending on experience) Key Responsibilities: • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the construction site • Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities to ensure work progresses efficiently • Ensuring all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures • Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and maintaining site documentation • Monitoring quality of work and ensuring it meets required standards and specifications • Reporting progress to the project team and addressing any issues that may arise on site • Ensuring the project remains on schedule during the duration of the works Requirements: • Proven experience working as a Site Manager on construction projects • Strong leadership and communication skills • Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain productivity on site • Up-to-date SMSTS certification • Valid CSCS card • First Aid at Work certification (preferred) • Availability to start within the next couple of weeks This role would suit a reliable and organised Site Manager who is confident taking responsibility for site operations and ensuring a smooth and safe delivery of works.
