Temporary Works Coordinator - Outside IR35 Contract (6 Months, ASAP Start) Locations: Hitchin / Peterborough / Colchester Contract Type: Outside IR35 Duration: 6‑month contract Start Date: As soon as possible Role Purpose You will be responsible for the effective day‑to‑day management of site activities to ensure successful delivery of key project elements. This includes planning, coordination, resourcing, and maintaining strong communication with site teams. You will ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with all relevant standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Support short‑ and long‑term work planning, using production‑led techniques and planning tools to optimise onsite delivery. Manage and coordinate on‑site supervisors, engineers, operatives, and subcontractors. Oversee all Health, Safety, Environmental and wellbeing requirements, including producing and delivering RAMS, SSOW, permits, site inductions, and briefings. Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks while proactively seeking opportunities to improve outcomes. Supervise and coordinate Temporary Works, ideally holding - or working toward - relevant internal or external accreditation. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Essential Strong understanding and practical experience of land entry procedures. Thorough knowledge of commercial, contractual, and procurement processes, including experience with NEC contracts. Demonstrable experience working on large infrastructure programmes, ideally involving major pipe‑laying or linear infrastructure projects. Desirable Experience coordinating Temporary Works, with accreditation preferred. Understanding of production‑based delivery methods and how they improve performance. Strong communicator capable of influencing teams and stakeholders. Collaborative mindset with an ability to deliver holistic project solutions. Motivated, proactive, and solutions‑focused attitude.
