Apply NowWe are currently seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and heavy civils projects across the UK.
Responsibilities
Act as the designated Temporary Works Coordinator on major civils projects.
Manage the temporary works process in accordance with BS 5975.
Coordinate temporary works designs and approvals with designers, site teams, and subcontractors.
Ensure all temporary works are properly identified, planned, implemented, maintained, and dismantled.
Maintain Temporary Works Registers and associated documentation.
Chair Temporary Works meetings and provide technical guidance to operational teams.
Ensure inspections are completed and permits are issued where required.
Promote the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance across projects.
Requirements
CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification.
Proven experience working within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, water, utilities, bridges, or other heavy civils environments.
Strong knowledge of BS 5975 and temporary works procedures.
Experience coordinating multiple temporary works packages on live construction projects.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
Experience working for Tier 1 or major civil engineering contractors.
Membership of a relevant professional institution.
