Test Engineer
Job Title: Test Engineer Location: Kettering, UK Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum About the Company We are recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised organisation that delivers technical expertise and product testing services across multiple industries. About the Department The team conducts testing on a wide range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ensuring products meet international safety standards. This includes items such as fall protection equipment, gloves, protective clothing, helmets, and more. The department operates accredited laboratories with advanced testing facilities and supports a global customer base. The Role This role focuses on fall protection PPE, including harnesses, lanyards, and safety systems. Testing is carried out both indoors and outdoors, including work at height. Key Responsibilities * Conduct physical testing of PPE in line with international standards * Operate and maintain testing equipment * Record and prepare test results for reporting * Prepare samples prior to testing * Maintain laboratory and storage areas * Support customer visits and demonstrations * Work in line with quality (UKAS) and health & safety standards Requirements Essential: * Strong attention to detail * Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) * Strong organisational and teamwork skills * Willingness to travel (UK and internationally) * Ability to work at height Desirable: * Experience with fall protection or PPE * Scientific or technical understanding of product testing * Customer-facing experience * Additional languages Benefits * 25–30 days annual leave (service-related) * Pension scheme * Life assurance * Income protection * Free parking * Flexible working hours Apply Now Submit your CV to apply or contact Peter at Rowland Talent for a confidential discussion about the role
