Test Engineer

Role: Test Engineer – Defence / Production Systems Location: Hertfordshire (hybrid possible) Salary: Circa £55,000 + bonus About the Role We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to lead the implementation of structured test strategies for current and future defence products. As a Test Engineer, you will define test requirements, deploy diagnostic strategies, and verify test coverage to ensure products meet customer needs. This is a hands on, multidisciplinary role, giving you exposure to development, production, and manufacturing processes, while collaborating with design and manufacturing teams across the company. Key Responsibilities * Implement the Test Philosophy for production programmes as a Test Engineer * Define test equipment requirements and production diagnostics * Verify test coverage for products to meet functional and quality standards * Collaborate with manufacturing and production design teams on test activities * Support continuous improvement of testing methods and processes * Document and communicate test results and recommendations to stakeholders Experience & Skills Required * Degree or equivalent experience in Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering * Experience with development and production test techniques * Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to communicate technical information clearly * Experience working collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams Benefits * Company Bonus * Pension Scheme * Flexible working & leave * Onsite facilities including subsidised meals and free parking
