Motion Group Ltd is recruiting an experienced TIG Welder on behalf of a well-established, ISO 9001 accredited precision sheet metal fabrication company based in Chorley. This is an ongoing temporary role with genuine temp-to-perm potential for the right welder.
The company has 25+ years in the trade and supplies fabrications into commercial and retail markets across the UK and internationally. The Chorley site focuses on the finer, more detailed sheet metal work — ideal for a welder who takes pride in clean, precise welds.
TIG Welder – Key Responsibilities:
* TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, brass and copper
* Working on thin-gauge sheet metal from 0.5mm up to 12mm
* Welding from engineering drawings on bespoke and batch-run components
* Maintaining ISO 9001 quality standards on all welds
* Working in a segregated stainless welding area where required
* MIG welding may be required occasionally to support production
TIG Welder – Requirements:
* Time-served TIG welder with proven sheet metal experience
* Strong on thin-gauge stainless and aluminium TIG welding
* Confident reading and working from engineering drawings
* Awareness of cross-contamination control on stainless work
* Coded welders welcome but not essential
* Reliable, quality-focused, good attendance record
TIG Welder – What's On Offer:
* £14.35 per hour, paid weekly
* Day shift, Monday–Friday (early Friday finish)
* Ongoing work with strong temp-to-perm potential
* Modern, well-equipped fabrication facility
* Easy access from the M6, M61 and M65
Location: Chorley, PR6 – own transport recommended.
