Wood/Timber Picker Due to growth of our business, here at Arbor Forest, we have a few positions available as a Wood Pickers at our New Holland site. Full training will be provided, but we do require knowledge of measurement, being able to walk all day and lifting timber. Hourly rate: £13.91 Working hours: 5am until 1pm Monday to Thursday and 5am until 12pm on Friday 39 hrs per week, Overtimes available This is temporary role for 6 months! Some duties are: * Picking the daily orders in a safe and timely manner using mechanical and nonmechanical means, including Forklift Truck, Combi Truck and Counterbalance (if trained) * Complete daily plant checks and report any defects * Storing of stock in the correct manner and stock rotation * Weekly stock checks to be carried out * General daily housekeeping & keeping a record * To ensure work is carried out safely, conscientiously, and efficiently. * Comply with company procedures (SOP’s) Skills, Knowledge & Experience: * Basic literacy and numeracy skills. * Side Loader/counterbalance/combi license (desirable) * Product knowledge, including timber, MDF and Trex (desirable) * A basic understanding of IT. * Able to work unsupervised. Our 90-acre site in North Lincolnshire allows us to hold more than 80,000m3 of timber on-site and facilitates a vast throughput of over 300,000m3 of quality timber, MDF and composite decking products per year.
