An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proactive and flexible individual to join the Facility Maintenance Team as a Tool Maintenance Technician. We are looking for a skilled engineer to support the effective smooth running of the Manufacturing Process.

Role Requirements

* Carry out maintenance to various mechanical equipment and demonstrate safety around electrical systems.

* Work within planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules, operating procedures and best practices guides.

* Ensure KPI’s are achieved and machine down time is at a minimum.

* Carry out fault diagnosis across electrical, mechanical and software-based systems.

* Carry out repairs to equipment and communicate with technical support services.

* To have proactive involvement in new installations and alterations to plant.

* Carry out calibration and setting up of machines tools.

* Perform safe isolations when necessary following LOTO procedures.

* Prioritise tasks and have effective time management.

* Work within procurement practices for tools, parts and materials to enable repair or improvement to machinery.

* Control contractors / issue work permits / observe work activities.

Working hours Mon-Thurs 6:00-2:30pm, Fri 6:00am-11:30am

Skills & Experience

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering apprenticeship with hands-on experience or recognised mechanical academic qualification.

* Confidence in disassembling and reassembling complex precision mechanical systems.

* PLC driven systems and machine logic.

* Extensive experience and knowledge of mechanical principles / pneumatics / Hydraulics. Root cause analysis and problem solving.

* Basic understanding of electrical principles and troubleshooting.

* Mechanical experience with knowledge of machinery such as CNC Lathes / Milling Machines / Surface Grinders / Punching Centres / Press Brakes / Fin Press / Expanders / Benders / Compactors / Guillotines / Pipe Benders / Loom machines / PLC Controllers / Welding Machines/ Hydraulic

* A sense of ownership for safety, quality, and performance.

* Professional conduct when dealing with colleagues, visitors and contractors.

* Eagerness to learn and advance skills and knowledge by attending training to attain relevant qualifications when required.

* Flexibility with work hours to rectify breakdowns as priorities and demands dictate.
