Tooling Design Engineer

They are seeking a skilled and innovative Tooling Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on designing high-precision tooling, moulds, fasteners, and related components to support manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing tooling solutions, particularly for composite materials, ensuring efficient, reliable, and cost-effective production.
Responsibilities of the Tooling Design Engineer
Design and develop tooling, moulds, fasteners, and associated components for manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret design specifications and requirements.
Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
Conduct design reviews and modify designs based on feedback and testing outcomes.
Ensure designs meet quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Continuously improve tooling designs for durability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements of the Tooling Design Engineer
Proven experience in designing tooling, moulds, or composites.
Strong background in composite materials and related tooling design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant engineering qualification (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related).
