Town Planner | Senior Town Planner

Town Planner Location: Manchester Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their growing team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner to join a dynamic consultancy working across a broad and varied portfolio of projects. My client works across a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, retail & leisure, and hospitality, offering the successful candidate excellent exposure to diverse and interesting developments. The Role As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting and managing planning projects while acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the development process. You will be responsible for providing clear and strategic planning advice, guiding clients through planning applications and development proposals, and working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Preparing and managing a range of planning applications and appeals Providing expert planning advice to clients across a variety of sectors Leading on site appraisals and planning feasibility assessments Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and key project stakeholders Managing projects and maintaining strong client relationships Attending client meetings and site visits where required Candidate Requirements RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment Good knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation Strong report writing and analytical skills Excellent communication and client-facing abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team What's on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid working arrangements Opportunity to work on a diverse range of planning projects Supportive and collaborative team environment Excellent professional development and career progression opportunities Interested in this opportunity?
