About the Role
New Chapter Tuition is looking for passionate and dedicated SEN Tutors to support children and young people with additional needs through personalised, 1:1 tuition.
This role is ideal for Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, and Learning Mentors who are ready to take the next step in their career and are seeking a new, rewarding challenge.
You will work closely with learners who may have SEND, SEMH needs, or who are currently out of mainstream education, helping them to re-engage with learning and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions to meet individual learning needs
* Build strong, positive relationships with students to support engagement
* Adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of additional needs
* Monitor and report on student progress
* Work collaboratively with families, schools, and professionals where required
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
* Have experience supporting children or young people (education or care background)
* Are passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives
* Are adaptable, patient, and resilient
* Are open to feedback and committed to continuous development
* Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience with SEND, SEMH, or behaviour support is highly desirable.
