Trainee Electrical Maintenance

Trainee Electrical Maintenance Location: Leicester Starting hourly rate: £12.62+ per hour (dependent on experience/qualifications) Hours: Full-time (42.5 hours per week) Contract Type: Permanent About the Role We are looking for a motivated individual with an interest in electrical maintenance to join our team as a Trainee Electrical Maintenance. This is a great opportunity for someone who may not yet have full electrical experience but has some electrical knowledge, practical skills, or a relevant qualification and the right attitude to learn. You’ll be trained and supported by an experienced team while working on a wide range of machinery, equipment, and electrical systems. Key Responsibilities * Assisting with electrical maintenance, installation, and servicing of machinery and equipment * Supporting fault-finding and diagnosing electrical issues * Learning practical electrical maintenance skills on site * Using hand tools and electrical testing equipment safely * Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment * Following Health & Safety procedures at all times Equipment & Machinery You’ll Work With * Conveyor systems, presses, mixers, and plant machinery * Motors, drives, and control panels * Pumps, compressors, and HVAC systems * Overhead cranes and hoists * Power distribution boards, site wiring, and lighting systems * Hand tools, multimeters, insulation testers, and basic power tools Skills & Experience Required * Some electrical maintenance or installation experience or relevant electrical qualification (even at a basic level) * Willingness to learn and develop as a maintenance electrician * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Reliable and able to work as part of a team * Commitment to safe working practices What We Offer * Permanent, full-time employment with stable hours * Training and development opportunities with an experienced electrical team * Opportunity to gain further qualifications for the right candidate * Supportive and friendly working environment with opportunities to grow How to Apply Click “Apply Now” to submit your CV and be considered for this role
