Description
As the Transport Manager you will,
Manage daily transport operations based in West Yorkshire, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods.
Oversee fleet management, including vehicle maintenance and compliance with regulations.
Develop and implement strategies to optimise logistics processes and reduce costs.
Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Analyse transport data and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
Resolve transport-related issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.Profile
The successful Transport Manager candidate should have:
Proven experience in transport ideally managing fleets up c 50 HGVs with a CPC, and be available to start within a week
Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements with a background of embedding systems and process
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Proficiency in analysing data to drive operational improvements.
Experience in fleet management and route optimisation.
A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Job Offer
Competitive salary ranging , circa £60,000
Fixed-term contract with a reputable company (which should progress to permanent)
