Known for reliable delivery, strong customer service, and continuous improvement, they are now looking for an experienced Transport Manager to lead their busy transport operation.
Transport Manager Position Overview
Oversee daily transport operations, including routing, vehicle allocation, and delivery performance
Work closely with planning, warehouse teams, and external transport partners to maintain smooth operations
Drive cost-effective transport decisions and support route optimisation
Lead, coach, and develop the driver team to maintain high standards
Monitor fleet performance and ensure vehicle maintenance, servicing, and compliance
Ensure compliance with transport legislation, tachograph rules, and health & safety standards
Manage driver training, holidays, and resource planning
Maintain accurate fleet, driver, and compliance records
Support continuous improvement through reporting, analysis, and performance reviewsTransport Manager Requirements
Previous experience in a Transport Manager or senior transport operations role
Strong knowledge of transport compliance, legislation, and health & safety
CPC qualification (essential)
Good organisational and time-management abilities
Experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office
Transport Manager Salary & Benefits
£37,000-£40,000 depending on experience
Monday to Friday
10-hour shifts with flexibility on working hours
