Transport Manager – Air Freight Services Salary: £50,000–£60,000 Hours: Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts Location: Slough About the Role We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to lead our air freight transport operations. This role requires a confident, hands-on manager who can oversee HGV activity, support a busy team, and ensure compliance and efficiency across all transport functions. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day transport operations involving HGVs within an air freight environment * Lead, support, and develop a team to deliver high service standards * Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and safety requirements * Oversee routing, scheduling, and operational planning * Build strong relationships with drivers, internal teams, and external partners * Liaise with European hauliers to maintain service quality and operational flow * Maintain accurate transport records, reports, and documentation Requirements * Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a Transport department involving HGV operations * Proven experience working effectively as part of a team * CPC qualification held for at least 2 years * Full UK driving licence * Class 2 licence desirable, or strong technical knowledge of trucks and trailers * Experience working with or for a European haulier is highly beneficial * Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-critical environment What We Offer * Competitive salary of £50–60k * Monday–Friday working pattern with stable 10-hour shifts * Opportunity to lead within a specialist air freight transport operation * Supportive team culture and long-term career development potential
