My client is a fast growing logistics business with a network of 11 sites in the UK currently with further expansion plans on the horizon.. You will be working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same.
Due to further expansion they are seeking a Transport Planner to join their friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is motivated and ambitious and looking to build a career.
Responsibilities
* Planning collections predominately in the North West , using TMS but manual planning experience also required
* Maximising the use of 30 vehicles daily in the most cost effective and efficient way
* Maintaining regular contact with drivers
* Ensuring customers are updated on any delays or issues
* Working in conjunction with other internal departments such as customer service and compliance
* Liaising with sub contractors and agencies if required
Skills required
* Previous transport planning experience
* Strong Uk geographical knowledge
* Understanding of WTD and drivers legislation
* Strong communication skills
* Resilience
* Able to deal with complaints
* Solution driven
* Strong IT skills
Working hours Monday – Friday 09.00 – 19.00
