The Role

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will work directly with students to deliver personalised lessons that meet their individual learning needs. You will help build confidence, strengthen subject understanding, and support students in achieving their academic goals.

Location

Tutoring may take place in person at learners’ homes, schools, or local libraries in Northampton, depending on the learner’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs
Support students with Maths, English, or Science (GCSE level)
Identify areas for improvement and create personalised lesson plans
Encourage confidence, motivation, and effective study habits
Provide feedback on student progress when required

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
A genuine passion for helping students succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
