Key Responsibilities
As the Remarketing & Used Car Manager, develop and own the UK remarketing and used‑car strategy, ensuring strong value protection and minimal leakage across all channels.
The Remarketing & Used Car Manager leads analysis of market trends, supply dynamics, pricing behaviours and competitor activity to shape monthly and quarterly strategic decisions.
Acting as the strategic Remarketing & Used Car Manager, define closed‑loop remarketing processes for retailer‑only channels, ensuring transparency, compliance, and profitability.
Establish national standards for trade‑in evaluation, appraisal discipline, reconditioning quality, and margin structure.
Collaborate with retailer teams to optimise sourcing, ageing policies, stock mix, turnaround times and disposal routes.
Expand and govern an Approved Used programme aligned to commercial targets, value‑retention expectations and customer‑experience principles.
Produce regular insight reports on competitor movements, wholesale trends, finance penetration and used‑car demand patterns.
Create action plans with measurable KPIs, supporting retailers in improving used‑car profitability and process compliance.
Support senior management by contributing to strategic initiatives, new programme development and continuous improvement activity.Requirements
The ideal Remarketing & Used Car Manager holds extensive experience in automotive sales, remarketing or dealer network operations.
A successful Remarketing & Used Car Manager builds strong relationships across retailer groups and key commercial partners.
Ability to construct business cases, model financial outcomes, and design operational processes end‑to‑end.
Experience supporting projects such as site assessments, facility standards, or programme rollouts.
Strong capability in communication, cross‑functional alignment, planning and structured execution.
Comfortable working under pressure, adapting quickly and driving proactive solutions.
Degree in marketing, commercial management, economics, engineering or similar field.
Flexibility to travel across the UK when required
