You must have a Reach Truck licence
Main Duties
PICKING, PACKING AND DISPATCH OF ORDERS –GOODS TO BE PACKAGED / REWORKED TO MINIMISE SPACE USED AND RE – UTILISE PACKAGING MATERIALS WHERE POSSIBLE
GOODS RECEIPT –GOODS TO BE CHECKED OFF AGAINST DELIVERY NOTE AND VERIFIED. DELIVERY NOTE TO BE HANDED IN TO WAREHOUSE OFFICE – ORDERS RELEASED ACCORDINGLY.
REACH TRUCK OPERATION AND UPKEEP –SENSIBLE USE OF TRUCK– REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND CHECKS TO BE CARRIED OUT TO ENSURE ECONOMICAL RUNNING.
WAREHOUSE UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE –SPACE CONSOLIDATION TO ENSURE MAXIMUM COST BENEFIT PER SQUARE FOOT OF WAREHOUSE SPACE. GENERAL CLEANLINESS, REUSE OF MATERIALS AND PALLETS ETC.
INTER-WAREHOUSE TRANSFERS –MAXIMISE VEHICLE LOADS AND ENSURE FULL STOCK LEVELS AT BOTH LOCATIONS WHERE NECESSARY
LOCAL DELIVERIES WHERE NECESSARY –WITHIN LOCAL AREA FOR SMALL CONSIGNMENTS TO MINIMISE CARBON FOOTPRINT
