Welding Instructor Department: WEC Group Training Academy (MTL Rotherham) Salary: £36,000 basic (Neg DOE) Hours of work: 37.5 Hours – Mon-Fri 7.30am-4pm Fri-7.30am-1pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Welder/ Fabricator to pass on their skills to our Apprentices and help to ‘Develop the Next Generation of World Class Engineers’. Responsibilities: * Assist delivering the Level 3 Plate Welder standard to the Apprentices. * Ensuring we have a Smooth onboarding process for all new apprentices * Instruct and train apprentices in several Welding & fabrication techniques Assess Apprentices progress and provide constructive feedback to facilitate skill development and improvement. * You will assist with monitoring and maintaining workshop standards with respect. Maintain training facilities and equipment in line with Health & Safety policies to ensure optimal functionality and safety for our apprentices What We Are Looking For: * Strong & Competent Welder/Fabricator MIG & TIG. * You will be required to pass an Enhanced DBS check, of which the company will pay. * Ability to work effectively and use own initiative. * Ability to lead and manage and train others to achieve desired results. * Fully conversant with welding, fabrication and ability to read engineering drawings.
