Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant (TA) - Merthyr Tydfil Are you passionate about supporting children's learning through the medium of Welsh? Do you want to make a real difference in the classroom? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Merthyr Tydfil. The Role: As a Welsh Medium TA, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning across a range of subjects. You will help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Provide classroom support through the medium of Welsh Assist pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups Support children with additional learning needs where required Help prepare learning materials and classroom resources Encourage pupil participation and confidence in using Welsh Requirements: Fluent Welsh speaker (essential) Experience working with children or in an educational setting (desirable) A positive, patient, and proactive attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills Relevant TA qualification (preferred but not essential) What We Offer: Competitive daily rate Ongoing support and professional development Opportunity to work in a vibrant Welsh-medium environment Potential for long-term or permanent placement
