Take the Lead Across Two Growing Workshops
Join an established commercial vehicle business with years of industry experience and an expanding operation following the opening of a second workshop.
We're looking for an experienced Workshop Controller / Workshop Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations across both sites. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business where you'll have real autonomy, the opportunity to implement your own ideas and clear scope for progression.
The Role
You'll oversee the smooth running of both workshops, coordinating technicians, customers, workloads and vehicle schedules across a varied fleet of HGVs, vans, trailers and plant.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing workshop workflow, productivity and team workloads
Coordinating servicing, repairs, MOTs and PMIs
Planning MOTs and PMIs using the R2C workshop management system
Keeping customers updated on vehicle progress
Travelling between both workshop sites to maintain consistent standards
Organising off-site MOTs and ensuring vehicles are prepared on time
Maintaining accurate workshop records and administration
Taking on responsibility for parts and stock management as the role develops
About You
We're looking for someone with:
Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Manager or similar
Strong HGV or commercial vehicle industry experience
Excellent organisation and workload-planning skills
Confident leadership and communication abilities
A strong understanding of workshop repairs and servicing
Experience with workshop management systems; R2C experience is advantageous
A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership and drive improvements
What's on Offer
£40,000-£48,000 DOE
Monday-Friday working hours
Optional Saturday mornings
Company vehicle and/or fuel card
