Workshop Engineer
Dursley – Workshop-based - Days, M-F – Full time, permanent – £30,000 to £40,000 DOE + benefits
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Workshop Engineer to support refurbishment, maintenance and repair of specialist vehicles and associated equipment.
This role is suited to a practical, hands-on engineer with either mechanical or electrical experience, looking to develop within a specialist fleet environment.
Key responsibilities
Carry out mechanical and/or electrical engineering work on specialist vehicles
Support full refurbishment and rebuild projects
Diagnose faults and carry out robust repairs
Install, modify and maintain vehicle systems and components
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and job packs
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with a focus on safety and quality
The Person
Experience in a workshop or engineering environment
Mechanical and/or electrical skillset
Ability to fault-find and carry out repairs independently
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Desirable
Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or similar)
Experience with vehicles, plant or heavy equipment
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics or auto electrics
