Yard Manager Construction

Yard Manager – Groundworks & RC Frame Berkshire £300–£350 per day | Ongoing Contract Ridgeway Recruitment is seeking an experienced Yard Manager to join a busy and well-established Groundworks & RC Frame contractor supporting multiple live construction sites across the region. This is a key operational role responsible for managing plant, materials, logistics, and yard operations to ensure sites are supplied efficiently and projects run without delay. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in groundworks, concrete frame, civils, or heavy plant logistics. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily yard operations supporting groundwork and RC frame projects • Manage plant, machinery, and equipment movements • Coordinate deliveries and collections to and from site • Maintain accurate stock control of materials, tools, and consumables • Ensure safe storage, organisation, and yard housekeeping • Supervise yard operatives and enforce safe working practices • Liaise with site managers to meet programme requirements • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures Requirements • Proven Yard Manager, Plant Manager, or Logistics Manager experience within construction • Groundworks, RC frame, civils, or heavy construction experience preferred • Strong knowledge of plant, tools, and materials used on construction sites • Good understanding of health and safety and yard risk management • Excellent organisation and communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workloads What’s On Offer £300–£350 per day depending on experience Ongoing contract with long-term potential Work with an established and growing contractor Support major groundwork and RC frame projects Immediate start available
