KBM Resourcing are recruiting for a Yard Operative on behalf of a well-established engineering company. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining an organised yard and warehouse environment, supporting the safe movement, storage, and dispatch of equipment and materials.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment.
* Receive and book in deliveries in line with company procedures.
* Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised yard and warehouse.
* Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
* Move equipment around the facility and update location records as required.
* Tag and label assets accurately.
* Manage delivery documentation and ensure paperwork is processed correctly.
* Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
* Support other operational activities as required, following appropriate training and guidance.
Essential Requirements
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Forklift certificate (B1 & B3 categories).
* Previous forklift operating experience.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
* Experience in a yard, warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.
* Mechanical aptitude or interest in engineering equipment.
* Basic computer skills.
Personal Attributes
* Reliable and safety conscious.
* Logical and practical approach to work.
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
* Positive team player with a proactive attitude.
