Yard Person

A well-established, family-friendly company based in Stratford-upon-Avon is looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Yard Person to join their team. The salary for the Yard Person is between £28,000-£30,000 (depending on experience) + bonus + progression opportunities This is an excellent opportunity offering a competitive salary, a bonus scheme, twice-yearly pay reviews, and genuine progression to Yard Manager for the right candidate. Key Requirements The successful Yard Person will: * Have a positive, enthusiastic, “can-do” attitude * Work well within a team and take a hands-on approach * Be confident using basic DIY tools * Be self-motivated and able to work independently to a high standard * Ideally hold a Counterbalance Forklift Licence (training can be provided) * Be physically fit and capable of handling large, heavy structures when required Key Responsibilities of the Yard Person * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and workshop * Carry out basic maintenance of facilities and report issues where external support is required * Monitor fuel, heating, and electricity usage/meters * Provide support across the Operations Department as needed * Undertake Fire Warden duties * Carry out general groundskeeping across the site * Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies * Operate a forklift for yard movements and loading/unloading deliveries * Take on additional duties as the role develops * Adhere to the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) Additional Information * Due to the rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essential * Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
