Year 1 Class Teacher

We are currently recruiting for a KS1 Teacher to take on a Year 1 class at a welcoming and supportive primary school in Great Barr.

This is a part-time role (3 days per week, Monday to Wednesday), starting after Easter. The school is looking for a passionate and committed teacher who can deliver engaging lessons and support pupils at a key stage in their development.

Responsibilities

* Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum

* Supporting pupils’ development in phonics, literacy and numeracy

* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

* Assessing and tracking pupil progress

* Working collaboratively with staff and parents

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Experience teaching within KS1 (Year 1 desirable)

* Strong understanding of phonics (e.g. Read Write Inc or similar)

* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

* ECTs are welcome to apply
