Year 1 Teacher Location: Newton Heath, Manchester Start Date: Monday 13th April Contract: Full Time - Summer Term Salary: Paid in line with Teacher Pay Scales A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Newton Heath, Manchester is seeking an experienced and committed Year 1 Teacher to join their team for the summer term, starting Monday 13th April. The school is looking for a highly skilled practitioner who is confident delivering high-quality phonics teaching and can provide the consistency and structure that Year 1 pupils need at this important stage of their development. The Role: Full teaching responsibility for a Year 1 class Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum Delivering high-quality, systematic phonics teaching Assessing, tracking and monitoring pupil progress Providing clear structure, routines and consistency for pupils Creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment Working closely with teaching assistants and the wider KS1 team Attending staff meetings and contributing to the wider school community The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have strong experience teaching in Key Stage 1 Be highly confident and experienced in delivering phonics Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be consistent, reliable and committed to maintaining high standards Be passionate about ensuring every child makes progress What the School Offers: A supportive and collaborative leadership team Engaged pupils who respond well to clear expectations Well-established routines and planning support Pay in line with teacher pay scales How to Apply: If you are a confident Year 1 Teacher with strong phonics experience and are available for the summer term in Newton Heath, we would love to hear from you.
